Our Grounds
We have extensive grounds at East Meon School, including a large field used for playtimes and PE sessions, a large tarmac playground including markings designed by the children, an adventure playground for all our children to use, a soft tarmac area with smaller climbing equipment for our younger, space to ride bikes and scooters, a pond with newts and frogs and a pond with fish, as well as garden areas for each class.
We are an ‘outdoor school’ and encourage children to have their wellies and waterproofs in school everyday so that we can go outside whatever the weather. We recognise that children learn well outside and teachers plan regular lessons that incorporate our grounds. Our grounds and learning within them have been recognised externally with a Gold Award from South East in Bloom.
