Welcome to Explorers Class

We are a mixed Year 3/4 class. Ms Stephens is our class teacher and Mrs Smith, Mrs Bettles-Hall and Mrs Poulton all work in our class to help us with our learning.

We love learning about new topics in Explorers and getting creative whilst we do it.  Last year, we had lots of fun visiting The Southampton Art Gallery and extending our learning about Greek mythology, we also got to work with some of the artists there to make our very own Medusa heads out of clay. This year we will be planning many more exciting trips and exploring new topics, such as living thing and their habitats and investigating how our digestive system works in science; history takes us back in time to look at The Iron Age Vs The Stone Age and we will be researching and creating pop-ups in DT.  Explorers will also be experiencing 3 new instruments to play in their Listen2Me sessions across the year and developing their swimming skills in the Spring Term. 

It’s going to be a busy but very fun year in Explorers!
