Hazel Class go to the Science Museum in London

On Friday 15th March, Hazel Class took a coach at 8am to London to visit the Science Museum!

Once we arrived, we had some time to look around the 'Space' gallery which complimented the learning the class had enjoyed in the Autumn term. Then it was time for 'Wonderlab'! Many of the students felt that this was the most exciting part of the trip. Wonderlab is an interactive gallery which encourages and expects children to interact with experiments and make discoveries for themselves. We were also lucky enough to see a demonstration about acidic liquids vs alkaline liquids and whether they can be changed. The pupils (and staff) were enthralled throughout the demonstration and everyone continued to discuss it through the remainder of the day.

In the afternoon we had time to explore the rest of the museum but all too soon it was time to come home. Everyone was exhausted on the coach but we did just about find the energy for a short sing-a-long before we arrived back at school.

The staff were all so proud of our pupils. Their behaviour was fantastic, they asked good questions while being kind and aware of the needs of others. All in all, a truly fantastic trip! Wee done Hazel Class.
