On Monday 13th May, Oak Class had a fantastic trip to Hyden Farm. They were lucky enough to travel to the farm on a trailer-it was a bit bumpy but lots of fun!
Once they got to the farm, the children had a chance to meet lots of the animals including pigs, sheep and chickens. They even got to see a beautiful baby lamb!
While the children were at the chickens, they were allowed to help Beth collect the chicken eggs and make scrambled egg for lunch-delicious! This is helping the children understand how food gets from the farm to our forks!
The children were exhausted but very happy when they got home and enjoyed telling the rest of the school about their trip in collective worship. Beth, who owns the farm, came to speak with me after the trip to let me know that our pupils had been fantastically well behaved. We are very proud of Oak Class-well done!
