Sports Day and Family PIcnic

The children enjoyed competing in their house teams during Sports Day today.  The day began with multi skills events including javelin throw, hockey dribble, bean bag pick up and tennis ball balance. Year 6 Team captains did a fantastic job of keeping their teams together, cheering them on and encouraging the youngest children every step of the way.  The track events included sprints, relays, long distance, sack race and the egg and spoon.

After a lovely picnic lunch with families, the children found out which team had achieved the highest score.  Congratulations to Team Farah (green team) who scored the most points throughout the morning!

During the awards ceremony, two children were also presented with our very special end of year awards.  Congratulations to Olivia in Year 5 who was presented with the Louden Shield.  The award was presented for the progress Olivia has made due to her fantastic attitude towards her learning, but particularly her resilience and determination.   Congratulations to Bella in year 4 who was awarded the Marilyn Broad Art Award in recognition  of her talents and effort in art.
