Welcome to Oak Class
Oak Class is a class of year R children. Our teacher is Mrs Nineham.
This half term our learning is very much RE based on "Celebrating birthdays". Our story was "Kipper's birthday" and Oak Class found out about 3D shapes. They used repeating patterns to design their own wrapping paper and 3D shapes for their presents. Oak Class made party hats for themselves and their teddies using the 3D cone shape. They have used their writing skills to write birthday cards and made bunting for Kippers party. Oak Class had a lot of fun at Kipper's party where our special guest was Mrs Gilbert. They played party games and ate Kippers cake which they had made in class.
Oak Class finished their topic "All about Me" with pet week and the children were able to bring in their pets. We asked lots of questions such as how old is your pet, where does it sleep and what food does it eat? It was an amazing week and thank you to parents and family members for making it happen. All the pets behaved themselves!
Little Acorns have settled in well and are spending time exploring the different areas and resources.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
