Willow

Welcome to Willow class!

We are a class of fantastic Year 1 and Year 2 children.

Our teachers are Miss Lambton and Mrs Smith.

Our Willow class rules are:

- We ALWAYS try our best.

- We are kind to everyone.

- We listen to others when they are speaking.

- We put up our hand if we have something to say.

- We have fun at school!

Willow class are really enjoying our topic 'Heroes' and learning about Florence Nightingale. We will be continuing our topic on Heroes after half term and designing our own super heroes!

Have a look at what we have grown in our healthy garden!

As our topic is Amazing Animals, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Reptylers who brought in a range of different animals. This gave us the opportunity to learn about more habitats of animals, the types of food they eat and the different characteristics of different animals.

We were then able to hold and touch a few of the animals. We really enjoyed our visit from Reptylers! Please have a look through our pictures.

Happy New Year!

Willow class have had a great start to 2017 and have settled back into their routines. We have enjoyed a visit from Hampshire Fire & Rescue Team who taught us how to keep safe at home and on the roads.

Willow class participated in 3 different activities which included listening to a story, playing a fire and road safety game and getting the chance to go on the fire engine and having a go at spraying the hose!

Our new topic this term is learning about Amazing Animals. We will discuss the different features and characteristics of animals, looking at their similarities and differences while studying the Author Eric Carle.

Be bright, be seen!

As winter is approaching, we have been learning about how to keep safe during the dark mornings and evenings. As a school, we discussed that dressing in bright colours helps us to be seen outside.
