Maths Subject Vision

At East Meon we deliver a high quality maths curriculum that develops a sense of enjoyment and curiosity towards mathematics in every child. Each pupil’s progress is sustained through targeted support and challenge to enable them to reach their full potential. In a world of possibilities, maths plays an important role and we hope to inspire our learners to take their mathematical skills forward into science, technology and engineering careers in their futures.

Through out the school, mathematics is taught using a variety of manipulatives and visual representations.

  • Times Table Rock Star Supporting the development of quick recall of multiplication facts, TTRS is available to use at home and school.
  • NRich A rich source of problem solving activities you can access at home. KS1 are at challenge level1; KS2 are at challenge level2.
  • success@arithmetic To support our learners, at East Meon we have teachers & TAs trained to deliver maths interventions to ensure every child reaches their potential.
