Modern Foreign Languages - Spanish

Learning a foreign language is a necessary part of being a member of a multi-cultural society and provides an understanding of other cultures. At East Meon Primary School, it is our goal to provide a high-quality languages education, which fosters children’s curiosity and deepens their understanding of the world.  By encouraging high expectations and excellent standards, all pupils are able to achieve their full potential in their MFL lessons. The teaching of this subject, should enable children to express their ideas in Spanish and to understand and respond to other Spanish speakers, both in speech and in writing. It is hoped that all children in KS2 have the chance to learn Spanish through speech, songs, games and other activities.  It is our aim to make learning a new language fun, memorable and useful in the children’s lives.
