this week we are going to do some work on A Midsummer Night's Dream. Those of you in on Thursday will have an opportunity to act out some of the scenes. Maths is a collection of Fun Maths Activities and some investigations to make you think more widely about mathematical operations. The topic work this week is based around Scrap Book work which I hope you will have a go at, and Wellness Wednesday is all about moving up to the next year group.
I don't have your individual emails - mine is; firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any queries.
I hope you are able to join me for this week's learning
Best wishes from Mrs Slamaker
Additional Resources - these are for reading as they are too big to print off.
Thursday 9th July - Independent Learning Overview English:
Use the link that I have posted to the voyagers page. The link should take you to the literacy shed. Choose a video as inspiration.
Plan your own piece based around the video. Remember to include today's Spag focus - hyphens.
Work through the revision booklet on fractions. I have posted the booklet onto the voyagers class page. There are lots of different elements and the pack is for today and tomorrow - you do not need to complete all of each page.
None of the learning is new, if you struggle with a particular concept - use online resources to learn how to complete it.
Today, I would like you to research artefacts from the Kingdom of Benin. Use online research resources to find 5 key artefacts that have told historians information about the era.
Lesson on how to use COORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS - FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so)
Overview of Learning - Monday 11th May
Thursday 7th May
Due to technical issues involving poor WiFi, I am unable to attach supporting documents from home. Because of this, here are 3 independent activities that can be completed without the supporting documents.
Create a Venn diagram that sorts the numbers 1 to 100 into categories of your choice.
The catergories could be linked closely to factors, prime number, squared number, odd or even, multiple of. Etc.
Publish your story that you have been writing in beautiful handwriting and send a picture of it to me.
Use the cross hatching skills developed so far to create artwork for a frontcover for your story.
Please can you ensure that all three pieces of work are done on the same document; this will help with my marking of the work as having the documents separate is a little tricky to keep up with. Apologies for the sudden change.
Amazing work today Voyagers!

This post is going to be one of many, but for now I would just like to clarify the expectations of your home learning, as I think some of you have got confused, understandably.
From Now 23.03.2020 until the end of the Easter Holidays 19.04.2020, you are to complete the home learning packs that were sent home with you on the Friday just gone. If you would like to additional work, that is welcomed.
Once the Easter Holidays are over, the children will be sent a 15-task document weekly on the google drive - this will be shared with them on Mondays. It will have all details and resources they need explained on the doc. The children rehearsed this on the Friday we broke up.
Voyagers, keep working little and often - and feel free to get your adults to email me any photos of written work or wider curriculum learning.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
