East Meon May Fair
Wow - what a great event the May Fair was!
On Friday, David came into school to teach us how to make boats ready for the big Boat Race. The children really enjoyed the opportunity to combine junk modelling, Science and creativity and made some fantastic boats.
On Saturday, Year 6 opened the event after a 'champagne reception' at the school and a rather special journey down to the river.
The Boat Race was a great success with almost all of the children's boats staying afloat through to the finish line!
In the afternoon, Explorers did a fantastic job with their May Pole dancing - they managed to remember the moves, stay in time and all whilst holding the ribbons!
Thank you to everyone who helped with organising, volunteered their time and brought along their families to support the event.
